seasonal delineations may feel a bit arbitrary when the thermometer is still well above 100 degrees…

and yet that may be precisely the time to bring fall inside and let the sun do what it will.

so we’ve put together a handful of trends we’re loving for fall.  ways to bring a new crispness to your surrounding,

colors that cool things off while still playing off of the warm texas sunlight.

like lemonade in a galvanized metal pitcher, stirred with a wooden spoon, our first color inspiration mixes shades of wheat, yellows and grays.  while cool and warm colors are usually kept apart, we’re bringing them together this season in a way that adds something heat to steely greys that ice off butter, lemon drop and harvest gold tones.

and white furry textures make our list for the perfect warm-me-up-in-cool accents in wallpaper and textiles at red : think throws, white hide rugs, pillows and personal accessories.

wheated whites layered with hay, oatmeal and strong warm wood tones will transition beautifully from the summer sun to winter wonderland-white

while bits of glossy black add punch and strength…

while grey-blacks meet seagrass and vintage metal in a graphic festival of texture, color and symbol.

it’s modernism with one eye over the shoulder to the vintage days that came before.  it’s a celebration of what’s truly new and fresh: the mix of old and new that’s never happened before our time.

on to the crisp & cool colors of fall

blacks, whites and cooling blue-greys mix with geometric and organic patterns to create something sophisticated, stylish and warmly inviting.  the sisal background to this collection gives this frosted group depth and warmth while geometric patterns move this fashion-forward.

adding numbers, graphics & text to repeating circles gives this group the cool printed quality of vintage newsrooms, while ever-classic patterns like houndstooth make their spicy return.
